Family Corrective Spinal Care

Dr. Phillip Geary DC, MCSc.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for visiting our site and also to tell you a little of my background.

I first became involved in chiropractic when I was 10 years of age when Dr. Arthur Wright, who practiced in Figtree at the time, helped me with a football injury. While at the University of New South Wales undertaking a science degree, I began to look for a career in which I could combine my interest in science with my interest in people. Chiropractic seemed the natural choice.

After my undergraduate studies, I undertook the degree of Doctor of Chiropractic at the Sydney College of Chiropractic (merged with Macquarie University) graduating in 1983.

I began private practice that year and have been in Woonona since that time, although I have kept an interest in Macquarie University by becoming a senior lecturer in chiropractic science areas over the last 10 years as well as supervising in the University Public Out- Patients Clinic and completing a Masters degree in 1994.

During my time in practice I have been elected by my peers to sit on the Chiropractic Advisory Board to the University for the last eight years, as well as being a senior Board Examiner involved in the final examination of chiropractic students prior to their qualification to practice.
Also I worked in an advisory capacity to the N.S.W. Chiropractors and Osteopaths Registration Board (Dept of Health) and the Chiropractic Association of Australia.

The Doctor and staff of the Woonona Chiropractic Clinic continue to attend seminars regularly to keep in touch with the latest professional developments and introduce these new ideas to the office. These include the latest in traditional manual chiropractic adjusting as well as gentle low force techniques allowing you the greatest choice in effective chiropractic techniques.
