Family Corrective Spinal Care

 Software

Do you spend long hours on your computer? These days more and more spinal malfunctions and subluxations are caused by the prolonged strain associated with sitting at a computer for extended periods of time.

One of the main focuses of chiropractic is on prevention. With this in mind three areas must be considered;

  1. Ergonomics; setting up your work station to minimise the stress and strain that a prolonged inefficient posture can cause.

  2. Taking a Break; regularly taking the strain off your spine will give the muscles and other soft tissues supporting the spine a chance to recover and allow better function.

  3. Touch Typing; no matter how good your posture, the 'hunt and peck' typing style causes you to spend hours looking down at your keyboard putting undue strain on your neck and upper-back.

To assist you in these important areas I have included links to computer programs with brief explanations and advice on their use below. As always if you have any questions feel free to contact me and I'll be able to advise you.
